Audience Member As a film of the 70's (remember all those Villains v Cops trucks and car chase films and shows?) akin to Cannonball Run, Smokey and The Bandit, Movin' On, BJ and The Bear and so on - heck even Bond got in on the act - it's a pretty good film and a bit deeper than the rest. Racial prejudice, political agendas and so on were there although not explored too deeply after all it was more a light entertainment / comedy film.For anyone who's a fan of trucks, was a CB radio enthusiast or just enjoys a good old chase movie it has all you could want. It's very much a film of the 70's for people who were alive then but that's no bad thing - the stunts are all real and thankfully so are the people unlike the fake plastic heroes of films today. When some aspect begins to make a tiny bit of plausible sense, a couple minutes later something happens which plunges it back into total nonsense. The whole thing seems like the product of writers and a director who are all coming down from a long haul drug binge. The actors struggle, or simply do a poor job throughout. Some bizarre psychedelic scenes of ghostly trucks with weird music saved this from being 100% terrible, so it is only 90% terrible. Fun to watch visually at times, all other aspects are abysmally bad.
